The Anglo American Foundation is one of the dedicated instruments through which Anglo American channels its corporate social investment (Social Investment) spend, and was named the top Social Investment grant-maker in South Africa for eight consecutive years.
The funds investments range from small grassroots initiatives to major capital-building projects and large-scale service delivery programmes in partnership with provincial and national authorities. Focus areas include HIV/AIDS, healthcare, welfare, education, and livelihoods.

In order to increase the efficiency of the application process, the Fund has moved to an online process. Partners will receive a link from our administrators to access the online application platform. Email us at AACF@tshikululu.org.za should you have queries.
Existing partners can report on grant activities over the last year using the reporting template found here.
A new direction for the Anglo American Foundation
We are currently refining the future focus of the Foundation in line with Anglo American’s Sustainable Mining Plan. Aligned to this and starting in 2020 our strategy will be to focus on increasing our investment in the communities around our mining operations across South Africa.
The Fund has developed three sets of reporting forms (including indicators) for education, health and sustainable community development projects respectively. Please ensure that you choose the correct reporting form that relates to your project.
